Akademia Muzyczna im. Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Poznan - Polish state music school in Poznan was founded in 1920. It is located at ul. St. Martin in the former Evangelical House - Evangelisches Vereinhaus, designed in 1907-1908 by the architect Johannes of Charlottenburg. Poznan University is one of the eight Academy of Music in Poland, studying there about 700 people. The academy employs 299 academic teachers, including 53 professors. The Academy of Music is an important center of Poznan's musical life (it runs, for example, the Town Hall Summer Concert, the Family Meetings with Poetry and Music, etc.).
