Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (Russian: Государственная морская академия имени адмирала С. О. Макарова) is a federal institution of higher professional education (ФБОУ ВПО ) which trains professionals for civil and merchant fleet. The institution was established on 11 September 2021 by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.It is located in St. Petersburg, Russia. The process of education at the University is conducted in accordance with the State Educational Standards, and in maritime areas of education, the requirements of the International Convention on the Training and Certification of Seafarers and Watchkeeping are taken into account. All graduates of the University after graduation receive a diploma of higher education of the state standard. In GUMRF named after Admiral S.O. Makarov, since 2015, the following have been operating: the Institute "Marine Academy", the Institute "Water Transport", the Institute "International Transport Management", the Institute of Additional Professional Education, the College of GUMRF.
