The AKAD-Bildungsgesellschaft is the sponsoring company of the AKAD University , a private university , as well as the AKAD Institute for Continuing Education , which offers non-academic continuing education. The headquarters of the University of Applied Sciences is in Stuttgart , and there are also examination centers in various other locations. The Science Council institutionally accredited the originally three universities of Stuttgart, Leipzig and Pinneberg in a joint procedure in July 2006 and reaccredited them in November 2009.
