Armavir State Pedagogical Academy is a Russian university. The full name is the Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education «Armavir State Pedagogical University». The main building of the university is located in Armavir. AGPU actively participated in international projects of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR. The authority of the Institute is evidenced by the fact that for more than ten years from 1984 to 1995, the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature had a Turkmen department. It was the only one in the country. Since the establishment of the national office, a considerable number of highly qualified specialists have been trained for Turkmenistan. Some of the graduates of this department have become leading lecturers in higher education in their country.
