Balik Pulau Polytechnic ( PBU ) is a polytechnic in Penang , Malaysia . This polytechnic was established on 1 February 2007 and is the 21st polytechnic in the list of polytechnics, Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). PBU moved to a permanent campus in Balik Pulau on 28 October 2013. PBU is committed to realizing the government's desire to develop the country by the year 2020 by completing programs specially designed towards this achievement. Through the Polytechnic Transformation Agenda outlined by the Polytechnic Education Department (JPP), PBU has acted to strengthen integrated programs to produce quality graduates. Among them is continuous monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning, obtaining full accreditation from MQA and MS ISO certification in 2012. In producing dedicated and competent lecturers, they are encouraged to obtain professional certification and are always given the latest exposure in aspects of teaching and learning. Students have been guided towards the formation of character, self-confidence and self-skills.
