Banting Selangor Polytechnic (PBS) is the 24th polytechnic out of 32 polytechnics in Malaysia. PBS started operating in the temporary campus in 2007 with the first cohort recruitment in the January Session of 2008. The operation of this polytechnic began fully on 6 September 2012 in the permanent campus by offering 2 programs namely the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma Program and the Mechanical Engineering Diploma. The first intake of students at this permanent campus was in the December 2012 session with a total of 165 students. PBS always gives priority to knowledge sharing and industry relations where teaching staff are encouraged to participate in industry projects, research and development. This effort opens up space for the exchange of ideas and expertise with institutions and industries to produce graduates who are skilled, competent, ready for the world of careers and have a high marketability value. Thus, PBS intends to further develop its network and collaborative relationship with the industry continuously. With that, students will be able to equip themselves to be more industry literate, resilient with the right mind set towards achieving the workforce of a high-income country. This initiative will continue to be a priority to further strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of students.
