On November 28, 1980, by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the third state university of Checheno-Ingushetia was opened in Grozny, which became the two hundred and first pedagogical university of the Soviet Union. The development of international cooperation is one of the priorities of the Chechen State Pedagogical University. The university implements projects with foreign universities. Chechen State Pedagogical University together with the Pedagogical Higher School in Freiburg (Germany), the Pedagogical Higher School in Heidelberg (Germany) and the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after. Abay (Kazakhstan) participates in the network projects of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) "Eastern Partnership", "Institute of German Studies" and "Dialogue between East and West".
