The Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle (Burg Halle) is the art college in Halle (Saale) , founded in 1915 . With over 1000 students, it is one of the largest art schools in Germany and offers 20 art and design courses in two departments. It is the only art college among the ten colleges in Saxony-Anhalt. The art academy is based in the lower castle of Burg Giebichenstein on the northern outskirts of the city, as well as on the Hermes site in the north-east of Halle and on the Neuwerk east of the Mühlgraben with the Campus Design.
