Novosibirsk State Theater Institute (NSTI) (Russian: Новосибирский государственный театральный институт, НГТИ) is a state institute located in Novosibirsk, Russia. It was founded in 1960. Famous masters of the stage stood at the origins of the creation of the school: People's Artists of the RSFSR Nikolai Fedorovich Mikhailov, Elena Gerasimovna Agaronova and the chief director of the Red Torch Drama Theater Vera Pavlovna Redlich. The basis of the school was the department of drama theater actors, later they began to train musical theater actors, variety artists, as well as puppeteers. By the decree of the head of the administration of the Novosibirsk region dated September 1, 2003 No. 599, the theater school was reorganized into the Novosibirsk State Theater Institute. The Institute trains creative personnel for theaters in the specialties "Acting" and "Theater Directing".
