Descriptions

In 1996, the Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after M. A. Vrubel was given another historic building located in the city center - the former Trade Building. This allowed him to significantly expand the exhibition and exposition areas and accommodate restoration workshops. To date, the museum's collection includes over 30 thousand items. The pearls of painting are part of the permanent exhibition presented in the halls of the Vrubel building: original works by Ivan Aivazovsky, Ivan Shishkin, Natalia Goncharova, Wassily Kandinsky and other famous masters. Here you can also see sculptures and objects of decorative and applied art of Russia and Europe, antiquities from the "royal mounds" of the Sargat culture. It is in the Vrubel building that the only painting in Siberia by Mikhail Vrubel is exhibited - the triptych "Flowers" (1894). The composition of the museum funds allows not only to take part in major exhibition projects of the central museums of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also to demonstrate works from the collection of the M. A. Vrubel Museum abroad.
