METrO Tasek Gelugor Polytechnic (PMTG) was created on the 8th. October 2012, has started operations at the new premises which is the Tasek Gelugor Commercial Center, Tasek Gelugor, Penang on a historic date for the people of PMTG and Polytechnic Malaysia which is the 23rd. November 2015 after almost 3 years of operation at Seberang Perai Polytechnic, Jalan Permatang Pauh, Penang. PMTG is one of 5 METrO Polytechnics established in line with the country's transformation agenda, which is to increase competitiveness through the development of a high-income economy, especially in the aspect of generating versatile human capital that is able to change in a dynamic job market environment.
