The Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt (EHD) (until 2011 Evangelische Fachhochschule Darmstadt ( EFH )) is a church university with a focus on social and health care. The Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt is a state-recognized university for applied sciences (HAW) in church sponsorship. The EHD is a member of the Hesse Universities of Applied Sciences . It was established in 1971 by the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau. The sponsor is the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau in cooperation with the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck . The Hephata Diakonie in Schwalmstadt-Treysa is the second study location. The courses of study at the Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt qualify for social and health care and church service.
