St. Petersburg State Chemical Pharmaceutical University (SPCFU) is a modern scientific and educational training center for the implementation of all stages of the drug life cycle, a leader in training personnel for the pharmaceutical and related industries (medtech, foodtech, health-saving technologies). The university was founded in 1919 and has a rich history. The University has its own scientific schools in various areas: from the development of new drugs to the creation of drug supply models. Today, more than 4 thousand students, graduate students, residents and students study at the university. Today SFCs are: 4 faculties 28 departments 5 scientific and educational centers (including those with BIOCAD and SPbNIIVS) Pharmaceutical College GMP training center Center for Experimental Pharmacology (Laboratory of Pharmacological Research, Department of Routine Biological Procedures, Vivarium) Laboratory of Regulatory Relations and Good Practices Laboratory of Additive Technologies Research laboratory (medical quality control center) Nursery of medicinal plants More than 350 people are scientific and pedagogical employees of the university, most of them have the degree of Candidate of Science or Doctor of Science. The University has four faculties where students are trained in the following areas: pharmacy, chemistry, chemical technology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, pharmacy management and economics, pharmaceutical technology, commodity science. SPKhFU implements programs of higher, additional and secondary vocational education. In total - more than 40 programs of secondary vocational and higher education and more than 70 additional professional programs in priority areas for the development of pharmaceuticals, medical technology, cosmeceuticals and related industries. A number of educational projects are being implemented jointly with leading international companies. University graduates work in pharmacy chains, logistics companies, in laboratories, in production and in the management of companies and factories in the pharmaceutical, medical, chemical, cosmetic, food industries, in research organizations, in government agencies. Since 2012, the university has been a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), and adopts the best practices of the world's leading universities, introduces innovative solutions in the field of professional education. The university consistently improves its performance in university rankings. SFCFU is included in the TOP-100 best Russian universities according to Forbes.
