The National University of Ancash Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo ( acronym UNASAM) is a public university located in the city of Huaraz , Ancash region , Peru . It was named in honor of the Peruvian physicist , engineer and mathematician Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo , a native of the department of Ancash.
