Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is a university of applied sciences based in Schmalkalden , Thuringia , and was founded in its current form in 1991. It is thus one of the younger German universities . It has five faculties and offers 16 bachelor's and 8 master's courses (dual and full-time) as well as 12 extra-occupational courses. Research and teaching are strongly influenced by MINT (= mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology).
