The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul), part of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education, was created from CEFET-RS, by Law n° 11.892, of December 29, 2008. IFSul, whose administrative headquarters is located in Pelotas/RS, is made up of fourteen campuses: Pelotas, Pelotas-Visconde da Graça, Sapucaia do Sul, Charqueadas, Passo Fundo, Bagé, Camaquã, Venâncio Aires, Santana do Livramento, Sapiranga, Lajeado , Gravataí, Jaguarão and Novo Hamburgo. The Federal Institute, characterized by the verticalization of teaching, offers professional and technological education at different levels and teaching modalities, as well as articulates higher, basic and technological education. The Institution brings together unique elements to define its identity, assuming the role of a true incubator of social policies, as it builds a network of knowledge that intertwines culture, work, science and technology in favor of society.
