Sultan Azlan Shah Polytechnic (PSAS) is the 15th polytechnic established by the Malaysian Ministry of Education . This polytechnic operates in Behrang , Perak. Sultan Azlan Shah Polytechnic started operating on March 1, 2002 under the name of Tanjong Malim Polytechnic (PTM). With an expenditure of RM 170 million, PTM was established in the government's effort to produce quality semi-professional personnel to meet public and private needs. PTM is temporarily placed at Slim River Technical High School. PTM moved to its own campus in Behrang, Perak after obtaining the Certificate of Occupancy (CF) on 10 April 2003. The campus is equipped with the latest facilities and infrastructure offering an attractive and conducive learning environment. PTM was inaugurated on 7 May 2005 by His Majesty the Sultan of Perak and was renamed as Sultan Azlan Shah Polytechnic (PSAS).
