1984 – Higher Military Transport School "Todor Kableshkov" was established. It becomes a single center for the training of senior and middle transport specialists for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria. September 1, 2000 - With a law passed by the National Assembly, the school was demilitarized, renaming it to the "Todor Kableshkov" Higher Transport School. September 20, 2001 – The Higher School of Transport receives institutional accreditation for a period of five years. June 25, 2003 – The Higher School of Transport implements a Quality Management System that meets the requirements of the following standard EN ISO 9001:2000 February 26, 2004 - After a project positively evaluated by the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation, the Council of Ministers decided to transform VTU "Todor Kableshkov" into a UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT. June 22, 2006 - The Higher School of Transport receives institutional accreditation for a period of six years. June 18, 2006 – The Higher School of Transport extended the validity of the certificate for the implementation and application of the Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the EN ISO 9001 : 2000 standard November 15, 2012 – The Higher School of Transport receives institutional accreditation for a period of five years. 2018 – The Higher School of Transport receives institutional accreditation for a period of six years. The mission of the "Todor Kableshkov" Higher School of Transport is to be an interdisciplinary academic institution based on rich historical traditions, professionalism and innovation, to build highly qualified specialists capable of developing and applying scientific knowledge in all aspects of land transport, in combining education, scientific research and education in the spirit of modern national and European values.
