The creation of the University The Latin American University of Foreign Trade was created by means of executive decree No. 95 of May 24, 1999, through which the operation is authorized, in the Republic of Panama, as a private university with autonomous legal status of private right. The university is based on the deep conviction of promoting and doing what is pertinent to generate, at the highest level, creative progress and the transmission of superior knowledge, for the comprehensive training of professionals profiled as leaders, specialists, strategists, entrepreneurs, negotiators, dedicated ;with the ability to act in multidisciplinary teams; people capable of making our society prosper, and contributing positively to the development of sciences, techniques, arts and letters, in the context of the growth and development of the country, and the conservation of the environment.
