With the name of San Carlos, the founders of the institution intend to pay homage to the Royal Seminary College of San Carlos, for its importance in the process of cultural formation in our country. In colonial times, the most enlightened priests of the Creole clergy and many managers and executors of National Independence attended its classrooms, which opened to the Paraguayan youth of their time, possibilities for improvement, hitherto forbidden. The name chosen commits the effort of those who direct it, because just as the previous one formed those who were going to play a prominent role in the last times of the Colony and in the Revolution of Independence, this Institution honoring its initial slogan to train people in their intellectual and moral integrity, through excellence as a means to serve society and thereby contribute to the development of our Paraguay.
