Rua Isabel Schmidt, 349 - Santo Amaro, São Paulo.
Universidade Santo Amaro – Unisa is among the most renowned Higher Education Institutions in Brazil, occupying a privileged position in the Educational scenario since 1968, when it started its activities with the courses in Literature, Pedagogy, Mathematics, Physics and Medicine, until today one of the busiest in the country. Unisa's history began with the need to establish the first Higher Education Institution for the large population of the Santo Amaro region, in the south of the city of São Paulo. It was then that influential professionals, such as teachers, businessmen, dentists, doctors and politicians, joined forces to create FASA – Faculdades de Santo Amaro, which in 1994 gave way to Unisa. This path consolidated Unisa as a University of excellence, which today is evaluated with the highest score by the Ministry of Education (MEC) - concept 5 and recognized by several bodies as one of the best in Brazil. In constant movement, the University has always adapted to times and processes. It was in this context that, in 2005, it broadcast its first class via satellite, marking the pioneering role in offering Distance Education (EAD) courses. With a differentiated teaching model, Unisa stands out for encouraging practice through social responsibility activities, with a strong presence in research and extension projects developed with the community. Disseminating knowledge and reverting it to the benefit of the population is one of the main institutional commitments. Its brand is present throughout the national territory, with four campuses in the State of São Paulo and more than 450 educational support centers offering distance learning courses.
