University College of Cundinamarca (UCMC) is located in Bogotá, Bogota Distrito Capital, Colombia. It is locally known as Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca. The university was established in 1945. It is accredited by Ministerio de Educación Nacional - Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior, Colombia. It is an Autonomous University Entity, with a special regime, legal status, academic, administrative and financial autonomy, independent assets, linked to the Ministry of National Education in regards to policies and planning of the educational sector Creation: Created by Law 48 of December 17, 1945, with the name of College of Women's Culture of Cundinamarca. Through Law 91 of 1993, the name is changed to Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca. Recognition: Recognized as a UNIVERSITY according to Resolution 828 of March 13, 1996 issued by the Ministry of National Education. It is governed by the Political Constitution of Colombia, Law 30 of 1992, which organizes the public service of higher education.
