The Technical University of Aschaffenburg (TH Aschaffenburg) is a technical university for applied sciences in Aschaffenburg , Bavaria , which was founded in 1995. This makes it one of the newer universities in Germany. The university is divided into three faculties: engineering , health sciences and economics and law , 13 bachelor's degree programs and 8 master's degree programs with around 3,200 students. In 1991, the Bavarian Council of Ministers decided to set up a new university of applied sciences in Aschaffenburg in addition to the university locations in Amberg/Weiden, Ansbach, Deggendorf, Hof, Ingolstadt and Neu-Ulm - initially as a department of the Würzburg-Schweinfurt-Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, later as an independent university .
