The polytechnic was established in 1991 via a merger of the College of Preliminary Studies Yola and the Staff Development Institute Numan. The polytechnic’s vision is to be a standard polytechnic in Nigeria and Africa known well for its technical, vocational as well as entrepreneurial skill training development and self-reliance. The polytechnic provides well trained skillful middle-level manpower that contributes effectively to the Economic and Social Development of established Institution in Adamawa State, the Nation and West Africa as a whole.
