The burning quest, of many Nigerians for quality university education and the few spaces available for them to realize their ambitions and fulfill their aspiration provided further impetus for the establishment of Christopher University as a contribution to the national effort aimed at enhancing access to quality university education in a location close to Lagos, a melting pot and the country's commercial / Industrial nerve centre. The responsibility of meeting the objectives of Christopher University was initially vested in the Planning and Implementation Committee (PIC), made up of men of integrity, skills and experience. The management of the university is now in the hands of the relevant structures; The Board of Trustees (BoT), The Governing Council and management. The Chancellor, who is also the visitor, oversees all these structures.
